Judgement

Judgement is a card of release and transformation. It signifies a stage in our lives where we are awakening. We have processed past experiences and learned from them. We feel liberated and able to let go of a situation or person and this could result in changes of job, moving house or the release of a loved one. There has been great healing and we are able to put the past behind us, no longer are we plagued with old memories and we can find value in what we have learned from all of it. We are ready to tie up loose ends and face new challenges. We have closure and no longer do we allow others to dominate us. There may be choices to be made which we must face maturely and it's a time where by we can trust our inner judgment on many matters. Sometimes I find this card can suggest we look at how we are judging ourselves as well as any judgement we hold about others.

Reversed- we have refusal to let go of past experiences, fear of change and stagnation. We are experiencing doubt and indulging in self criticism. We are refusing to take control of important matters and ignoring our conscience about changes that are needed. In a health reading it can indicate no cure.

The Sun

The Sun card is a card of transformation and rebirth. It comes up to represent a time in our lives where we are emerging as a new person filled with optomism and healthy self expression. We have overcome problems and hurtful experiences of our past and feel ready to come back to ourselves and let our light shine in the world. It's possible that we have gone so far as to transform ourselves and our image entirely by sporting a new look that shows outwardly to others that we are confident and filled with the radiant energy of the sun. We have come through a difficult time perhaps, but now is the time to move forward filled up with enthusiasm for life. Things are finally going our way and we couldn't be happier. We have struggled inwardly and outwardly but what we have learned along the way, has helped us to understand who we truly are and where we are heading as the sun lights our way forward. We have gotten our life back so to speak and finally feel liberated! Achievements and success will be ours for the taking. When this card shows up in a reading for family or romance it denotes a happy marriage. A good card for health also. I have on occasion seen this card come up in a reading to indicate the birth of a child.

Reversed- we see an inability to see our way out of depressive conditions. We are feeling like a failure. Our fears and negative thinking are preventing us from bringing about much needed change. Our thinking is derailing our progress and we are feeling unfulfilled and off track. A marriage or union may be unsuccessful or unhealthy for us.

The Moon

The Moon is a card of confusion, dishonesty and illusion and imagination. It can represent dishonesty either from oneself or from others. We may be choosing not to acknowledge deeper feelings and thoughts preferring to live in a world of our own imagination. What we are seeing in situations within and around our lives is an illusion and is not based in deeper truth. We must guard against accepting the illusion as truth. It's time to look into the depths of our souls and shed light onto dark memories and/or anxieties, bringing them out into the light where they can be exposed and released. At first these inner discoveries may cause confusion but once they are brought to the surface where we can face them head on they will no longer hold power over us or affect our life at a subconscious level. It's also possible that someone around us is decieving us purposely and uncovering these hidden facts may be unpleasant and bring on further confusion. So expect the unexpected as it seems some new information is yet to be exposed and it's bound to bring on disruption. So The Moon represents the unforseen and deception, it's also a psychic card telling us to pay attention to any dreams or intuitive feelings we may be having as they might hold important information for us at the time or we may simply developing some latent psychic abilities ourselves. So overall be sure your not kidding yourself about a situation or circumstance, things may not be what they appear to be on the surface. Important decisions may be at hand...DO NOT hurry but proceed with caution and awareness.

Reversed- we see deceptions have been discovered. Confusion and self deception lift,we have taken the journey deep within to where our anxieties and fears hold up,having brought these repressed feelings up to the surface and into our awareness..they will not trip us up moving forward. Any unexpected changes from the upright position are now expected changes requiring little adjustment.

The Star

The Star is a very optomistic card. It denotes the pursuit of natural talents and dreams. It tells us that it's time to follow through on that which we have always wanted to do. It's time to pursue that which comes naturally and that we enjoy doing. Perhaps we are a gifted artist or talented singer or have a hobby that show's great creative potential? It could be an number of things however it's time to shine and share those talents and abilities with the world. It's a time when we are filled with confidence in our abilities and talents. Our thinking is of a positive nature and we feel we are on the right track in life. Meditation is suggested by The Star, by opening our chakras and cleansing our aura, we open our ability to trust ourselves and perhaps gain new insights on how to reach our goals as well as bring to out any latent talents we may not have realized which could help us on our journey. The Star card also suggests healing after a difficult time in which we may have been unwell or depressed, it's a hopefuly card where we feel free of old emotional hurts and are able to proceed on toward out aspirations, with confidence and enthusiam. It's a card of feeling blessed from above like as though something or someone has shone down on us and we are being divinely guided in our lives.

Reversed- We see talents wasted, hopes dashed and unfulfilled dreams. We are lacking the self esteem to make our hopes and dreams a reality. We doubt our talents and abilities and perhaps deem them to be invalid. Depression and insecurity incompacitate us and we feel hopeless and un inspired. We must become more aware of our negative thinking and mental attitudes in order to get control in our lives and affect change. A poor self image is blocking our natural talents and abilities from shining through. Perhaps some professional counselling or self help material would be of help.

The Tower

The Tower card is about sudden abrupt change that is thrust upon us. It's old forms collapsing around us in order to rebuild something new and better in it's place. It's a bit of a crisis card where in the structure of our foundations has been shattered and things seem to be falling apart for us. The changes are sudden and unexpected, like a bolt from outta the blue we find ourselves in utter shock of what is happening around us.
It brings with it a sense of an awakening. Sometimes a truth is revealed which can result in us wondering how we could have been so wrong or not seen this coming? It's a time of great turmoil as we try to come to terms with some type of a loss, whether is be in the area of relationships,(divorce) loss of a job, failed marriages, bankruptcy, financial failure or even death of a loved one that brings our world tumbling down in utter chaos. We feel fearful, shaken and in disbelief of what's happening around us. The Tower brings great changes however a bad situation will eventually be replaced by a new and better one. The changes are necessary to our spiritual growth so sometimes when we are unable to take the steps that are needed in our lives to progress forward, then life will force the tower upon us and drag us kicking and screaming all the way, so that we can come through what ever it is and come out the other side and be in a much better place both emotionally, physically and spiritually speaking. How we handle the birthing process of the tower card is dependant on our attitudes. It can be painful or it can be easy. It's important to try not to resist the changes that are upon us. We must be patient with ourselves and not buck the process if wish to make the whole thing much easier on ourselves.

Reversed- we still see changes however they may not be as big as the changes we would see in the upright position. The crisis is less severe, managable and expected. We were aware of the situation or circumstances and thus were not caught off guard. Truth brings positive changes and we are ready to meet them head on. We see what needs to be done and we deal with it effectively as best we can.

The Devil

Hello people..sorry I havent' been blogging on a regular basis but I have been having computer issues.. Hopefully they are all resolved, so I am back to finish my blog on the major arcana...whoohoo!

Okay, the next card is

The Devil, and The Devil is a card of oppression, fears, and sometimes materialism.
It comes up to indicate times when we are feeling stuck in a role or situation that we feel there is no way out of. It's a feeling of being kept down and or controlled by another person or circumstances, however the chains that the devil binds us with are often not real. We can free ourselves as often times it's been our own selves who have freely given our power away. By entertaining thoughts of despair and feelings of being controlled by external forces we create our own bondage and powerlessness.
When it comes to materialism it can indicate that we are pre occupied with money and only interested in keeping up appearances. It can indicate a marriage or union based on money, and convenience.
The temptation may exist to manipulate people or circumstances for monetary gain.
The Devil is the inner force in man that allows us to fall prey to our fears, addictions and other self defeating impulses or habits.

Reversed-WE see freedom from harmful bonds. We have come to realise what is good for us and perhaps have released ourselves from a relationship that was unhealthy and based on control. One in which we gave up our power to another because we felt such a strong pull to that person. We no longer allow others to keep us down or have control over us.
Fears are released, selfishness is overcome and lessons concerning greed have been learned. We have given up any temptations to manipulate others.

Temperance

Today's card is Temperance.

Temperance calls us to stabilize and adjust. It's time to seek balance and co-operation in a situation or circumstance. We are asked to meet others half way and behave agreeably in order to better handle circumstances. Temperance can also represent the perfect blending of two things that come together at just the right time, i.e. the right person for the job, partners well suited etc. Temperance suggests the need to re evaluate our circumstances and weigh up things. We need to get a balanced perspective on things before we can move forward. Our inner voice is there to gently guide us to our best outcomes if we simply listen. Temperance can represent a trial period in our lives where we are put to the test. Remain patient so that you can act when the timing is right. It's also represents a time in our lives where we are feeling spiritually balanced and grounded. Our mind and emotions are balanced and we can hear the voice of our subconscious.

Reversed- Our mind and emotions are out of balance. We find ourselves in circumstances that are testing our patience and an inability to handle a situation makes matters worse.
We are lacking compromise and perhaps we are over reacting. Again we are advised to step back and gain perspective of the situation. A compromise can bring things back into balance. Sometimes we need to be patient with ourselves as well. When we are out of balance we cannot hear the gentle inner voice that is urging us forward.

Death Card

The Death Card is a card of welcome change, transformation and new beginnings. We are letting go of old ways of thinking and being. Releasing ourselves from old emotional programming, thinking patterns and no longer clinging to that which does not serve our higher good. It can represent major change in a person's life where by something that no longer serves us is ending, so that something of much more value and importance for us can begin. This ending is necessary in order to bring you what you want. So when we see the Death card in a reading it is asking us to look at what unhealthy attachments we have and begin to release them so that we can make way for a more fulfilled way of life. The Death card is a much feared card in the deck as on first impression those unfamiliar with the Tarot believe it to represent physical death. This is not the case at all with the Death card. It is actually a most positive card indicating a welcome changes and fresh new beginning that will be most good for our personal growth.

Reversed- We have stagnation and change for the worse. Perhaps we are refusing to change and grow. By staying stuck in a rut we cannot affect change and thus bring new and better things into our lives and may even be making matters worse. Our lives or a situation or circumstance is at a standstill, but this will pass and eventually there will be movement forward.

The Hanged Man

Hello Hanged Man!

The Hanged Man is often times about waiting. Sometimes we find ourselve stuck in life without much happening or with very little movement forward. It's a feeling of being in limbo shall we say. In times like this it's important to take a look at why we are stuck? Are we holding onto something too tightly that is preventing us from gaining momentum? This could be any kind of block, such as fears, anxieties, lacking confidence in ourselves, or it could be that things are suspended because the timing isnt' right at the moment. Almost as if this period of waiting was being done to us. In order for us to move out of this, we may be required to give something up or change something that we really don't want to. The Hanged Man is asking us to look at things from another perspective in hopes that we will gain insight into what needs to be changed. It's asking us to take a look at our priorities in life and see just what might need to be re arranged or sacrificed in order for us to have what we want. By making some personal sacrifices and re arranging the normal order of what we think is important, we can open ourselves to something much better. Sometimes it's very difficult and painful to let go of that which is no longer serving us because it's become comfortable, however it can be that one thing that is blocking our progress. Often we know what it is but are unwilling to look at things from that other perspective.
The Hanged Man suggests a need for letting go on many levels. It could be something as simple as "letting go" of a need to control a situation or circumstance or it could be that we need to let go of bad habits that are holding us back.
Over all the Hanged Man is about changes in priorities and the way we do things, sacrifice and self sacrifice. Patience is very much needed. It's time to let go and let God!

Reversed-we see that we are unable to "let go" in a situation or circumstance. It could be that we are refusing to see any other view point other than our own. Our heels are dug in now, insisting on having things our own way prevents us from improving conditions.
We have "hang ups" that are holding us to a closed mind and we cannot see other vantage points. Our pride is holding us up. Things are not going according to plan and circumstances seem "upside down" at the moment. Sometimes we feel like we are barely holding on.

Justice

Good morning..It's the Justice card for today.

Justice is speaking about fairness, karma, cause and effect, balance etc. It's a card about getting what we deserve in life. We reap what we sow in other words. Sometimes this card comes up to talk about legal matters, courtcases and contracts, financial arrangements in the case of seperation or divorce etc. That kinda thing. So in these cases when the card appears upright it's likely that we can expect fair outcomes and winning decisions in legal matters. Things appear they will sway our way and we will be pleased. However we may be about to pay the price for our previous actions and thus there is a lesson to be learned from the Justice card. The scales of Justice will serve up what is just and fair and once again balance is restored. We should be concerned with doing the right thing when this card surfaces and seek balance and fairness in our dealings with people and within situations. It tells us to seek balance in all aspects of our lives, between work and play and family life. As a person it can represent someone who has good morals, plays fair.
It reminds us in any situation that if we all play fair we can expect good outcomes.

Reversed-- We see Imbalance and unfairness.
We are experiencing unfair treatment and we do not get what we rightfully deserve.
In a reading that concerns legal matters things do not go our way and it's not advisable to persist as outcomes are likely to still prove unfavourable.
Our rights have been violated and or taken away from us.
We are not achieving balance in our day to day lives....and there may be not give in take when it comes to relationships.

The Wheel of Fortune

The Wheel of Fortune speaks to me of a turning point in ones life where new possibilities become available.
As the wheel turns there will be ups and downs in life. The down times can help us appreciate more fully when things are going well for us.
This card represents favourable opportunities and rewards. A time for expansion and growth, possibly in a new direction and the probablities of success are promising.
It tells us that we must prepare ourselves ahead to take on this new challenge. Lay the groundwork for success. The hands of fate are involved but be careful not to become too complacent and make the most of opportunities even when it might involve some risk.
The Wheel reminds us that when things are down that it's only a matter of time before we are back on top again but we need not stand still. We can keep the wheel moving by taking action to improve things when the going is tough.
But overall it's a pretty promising cards that tells us to seize opportunities when they present themselves for they may not be on offer for long. Expect the unexpected!

Reversed- We see delays and hindrances and re curring problems.
Something may resurface to be dealth with again and again. We may be in a pattern of repeating prior mistakes. We see little progress and feel like we keep hitting a wall.
We fail to see opportunities and thus miss our chance to improve circumstances.
We are not prepared in the face of lifes ups and downs and things take a turn for the worst. It's possible that we are suffering from bad decisions now, however once again the wheel is forever turning and there is always a point at which the wheel begins to turn upward again. We are experiencing some bad luck but it too will run it's course.

The Hermit

Hello....Todays card is The Hermit.

And The Hermit is about guidance, inner guidance and wise council from others perhaps.
It can represent the sitter to indicate that they have reached a level of spiritual maturity and they have come to trust their own inner guidance and thus are confident and wise in their own decision making process. When we see this card in a reading it suggests that we should look within and trust our inner judgement about a matter, or if we are seeking advice from a reliable professional about something then we should heed their council or at the very least weigh it strongly against what our own inner guidance is and if it resonates within us then it would seem wise to take that advice and apply it in what ever situation we may find ourselves.
This represents a wise person, who has worked hard on their spiritual life and now his wisdom can be shared with others.
It may be indicating too that we need to spend some time in solitude and begin to attune ourselves inwardly to more spiritual matters. Only when we get quiet and look within do we see truth, so I see this also as a need for meditation or time already being spent in meditation.

Reversed-It indicates that we are not listening to our own inner voice or the wise advice of others. WE fail to trust ourselves and our ability to make decisions. We refuse to see truth and accept what is. Because we fail to trust and accept our own inner guidance we end up with regrets later. We are not spending enough time tending to our spiritual nature and are out of touch with our higher self.

Strength

Moving on to the Strength Card.

Strength is about Self understanding, Patience and Self love. I see this a card that speaks to us about being patient with in a situation or perhaps it's asking us to be patient with ourselves. If it's within a situation involving another, then it's asking us to apply patience and understanding and react kindly in the face of problems. Strength asks us to analyse and shed light to fears and complexities,in order to bring them under control. It's important to understand why we do the things we do in order to bring about change. I see this card as about controlling anger as well. Perhaps we have a tendancy to react too swiftly sometimes with our words, when it would be best to keep quiet? It takes a great deal of strength and self control to be able to refrain from losing it in certain situations...lol. So we may be experiencing a period of growth that will lead us to a healthy self respect and self acceptance. By controling our emotions and shedding light on our fears and understanding the root causes of anxieties and behaviours can certainly lead to us feeling much better about who we are.

In Reverse- We do not understand ourselves or what pushes us to do the things we do. We have selfish tendancies and at the core lack self acceptance and self love.
Our fears and anxieties may be out of control.
We may be using pushy tactics and trying to force a situation. There are misunderstandings around a circumstance whether deliberate or otherwise.
Fighting and hatefulness are manifestations of someone who does not like themselves and destroys relationships.
Dangerous psychological problems.

The Chariot

Good morning.. Today we are moving on to The Chariot.

The Chariot card is linked to our will and self control. It's about winning out through mind over matter. By controlling our emotional nature and using self control and discipline we can overcome problems in our lives. This card is telling us to have dominion over our mental attitudes such as anger, depression, fear as well as any self defeating habits such as drinking alcohol, taking drugs and over eating. Intuitively speaking I see this card sometimes as being pulled in two different directions. Sometimes I see it as travel and have even seen it come up to talk about the sitters vehicle. Those are just intuitive observations however.

Reversed- we have a loss of control. Our mind and emotions have fallen out of balance and we are losing sight of our goals and falling off track.
We are allowing ourselves to fall back into negative thinking patterns and destructive habits.
This can represent someone who's poor mental and emotional programming growing up may be leading to a life of self destructive habits and behaviors. It suggests a need for self discipline and that a serious look at our lives may be in order. Are we allowing our negative thinking and bad lifestyle railroad us off in the bushes? Taking us away from our original goals. In reverse simply The Chariot is about DEFEAT.

Next card up...The Lovers

A choice or decision seems to be offered up in The Lovers card, so it's important for us to know who we really are and what is truly needed for personal fulfillment.
This is the picture of an honest open, balanced marriage or relationship. The two figures bare all to each other, they have no secrets. The angel above them seems to bless this union or perhaps may have even orchestrated it. Sometimes this card speaks of temptation also and will enter in when we are at a crossroads with a moral decision or dilemma. There could be a new relationship developing or there could be major change within an existing one, i.e taking it to the next level. It could be it's time to move in together or perhaps we are just at the stage where feelings are deepening and thus a sexual relationship is about to develop?.
In a health reading, it's a positive force for healing.

In Reverse- we have indecision and imbalance which could lead us to make incorrect decisions. Have we allowed ourselves to fall into temptation? The selection seems all wrong for us and we find ourselve out of touch with aspects of self.
Something may be interfering with our plans or decision making process?

The Heirophant/Tarot Review

Our card today is The Heirophant.

The Heirophant is about guidance and taking the traditional and conservative approach to life or a matter at hand. It's about conforming to the traditional way of doing things with regard to problems or issues. Conforming to groups and society in general. I.E. church groups.
The Heirophant is also about being guided either by our own inner voice or that of an another whom has the experience we need to help us make well informed decisions, this could be a counsellour, teacher or spiritual mentor.
The Hierophant suggests that we heed and follow the advice of those qualified to guide us and or our own inner guidance.
This card can come up to represent someone from a tradional background or upbringing, or could point to employment with well established organizations, institutions and/or companies with strict policies and procedures.

In Reverse- we have a different and unusual way of doing things, or an unusual set of circumstances.
This could represent common law ties or unusual circumstances surrounding relationships.
In The Heirphant reversed we refuse to conform the traditional norm. Perhaps we are rebelling against religious dogma.
Perhaps we are ignoring our inner guidance and/ or disregarding the advice of council and marching to the beat of our own drum.

The Emporer

Hello...Today's card is The Emporer.

The Emporer represents someone in authority, such as a boss, father figure etc.
This is a person who has the ability to direct, control and make decisions.
Sometimes this can come up to indicate a time in our lives where we have reached rulership and authority over others or simply it can mean an individual who is emotionally mature, responsible and in control. So a disciplined individual.
The Emporer is the example of someone who shows leadership qualities and is a successful manager.
The Emporer knows how to get things done, he is organized and see's his goal through to the end, so this can show up to mean that what we have been striving toward or planning either has manifested or will manifest..
A positve card for the outward result of a seekers goal or plans.
I sometimes see this card come up to represent someone in law enforcement or the military.

In Reverse...we see that goals and plans do not come to pass.
This is a person who lacks the ability to take charge or to plan. It can also indicate a man who has issues with authority. Sometimes it's a man unable to cope with family responsibilities. Escapist tendancies such as alcohol and other dependancies are some possibilities also with this card.
A venture or project will not flourish as had hoped likley due to disorganization and lack of planning.

The Empress Card

Hey Peeps... back on track with The Empress Card.

The Empress is a card of Growth, and is primarily concerned with the giving and receiving of love shall we say.
When The Empress comes up there will be growth and development concerning the matter at hand. This is a time for emotional and financial prosperity.
When talking about marriage we see a thriving relationship, and deep love.
This has been called the mother card because The Empress is associated with childbirth and a focus on motherhood. She represents a woman who's marriage and family life are of primary concern to her.
I see this card as a card of stablility and abundance and fertility.
Sometimes this can represent a woman with creative and artistic talents also which can be key to her happiness as well.
Often comes up to signify a time when a woman may be wanting children, be trying to get pregnant or already is.

Reversed- We see no growth, blocked feelings and stagnation.
We are struggling to bring about what it is we wish to achieve, sometimes this is in the area of trying to concieve a child perhaps?
Feelings of rejection could lead to infidelity or divorce.
We are unable to give or receive love due to blocked emotions such as anger, guilt ad frustration.
As a person card this can also be a woman who is depressed and or psychologically ill.

Intuitive Tarot Review/The Magician

OOps... seems I forgot the Magician.

The Magician card is primarily about personal power. It represents mental focus toward a creative idea or goal. The Magician reminds us that we should be confident and have faith in our abilitys and talents in order to manifest what we want in our lives.
We have the talents and skills as represented by the tools on his altar but now we must use thought to focus our minds like an arrow toward a target. In his right hand he holds a wand pointing upward toward the heavens and his left hand pointing down to the earth. This is representative of what we think we are. What we hold in our minds (heaven) we bring into manifestation here on earth. We are the soul creators of what manifests outwardly in our day to day lives. So by using the power of focussed thought will help us to tap into the creative consciousness of the Universe.. I am that which "I think I am"! The red cloak represents his desire for ambitious achivement in life.
Reversed- we see unrealised plans or goals due to lack of follow through and an inability to remain on course. We are not tappin into the flow of universal energy that would help us achieve our goals.

Intuitive Tarot Review/The High Priestess

Today's card is the High Priestess.

The High Priestess is a card of mystery. It suggests hidden factors and things concieled from view. When we see this card it can mean that we may not know all there is to know about a situation or circumstance in spite of being assured to the contrary.
Something yet to come to light may affect the outcome of the matter in question.
This can also represent the seeker and their deep desire or need to know more information about the future or about a matter. This can also represent an inner knowing and a person who has psychic dreams or intuitive urgings. The High Priestess, tells us to listen quietly to inner guidance and pay attention to our dreams and intuition.
As a final outcome card it can indicate a secret that will be forthcoming and may bring about fortuitous change.
As a person the high priestess could represent a woman who is very intuitive and has her own deep seated belief system. Her expectations of herself and others are high..

Intuitive Tarot Review/The Fool

The fool represents new beginnings and opportunity. The seeker may be presented with a chance of a lifetime opportunity which could bring about a considerable change in lifestyle. This card tells us to expect the unexpected and to examine what it is we truly want in life and be guided by our hearts desires. We are at a place in our life where we can create what we want. It's a time for a new start and a chance to wipe the slate clean and start again. Here we are about to take a journey into the unknown. The fool is carefree taking life as it comes, however life is urging us forward. A major decision could be at hand so be sure to choose wisely.
In reverse.... we are in danger of making poor choices and wrong decisions. Perhaps we are allowing ourselves to be influenced by the opinions of others. Or perhaps it's simply our own fears and anxieties getting in the way of us moving forward and stopping us from recognizing opportunities to better ourselves and our situation. The fool can lack awareness of what's right in front of him and thus misses the chance to make things better and become more.
Overall a positive card for new beginnings of all kinds.

Why Cant' People See the Real Me!

It's truly interesting how people's perspectives on things can shut down a frienship or family relationship. How the need to be right far outweighs the benefits of having harmony between two people or within a family unit. When it comes to deeper issues that involve religion, political beliefs, and even sexual orientation, these are some touchy touchy subjects. In fact I think it's been said that these topics are taboo and should never be discussed in areas where we have differing views and/or agendas. We would not want to sever what's good between us so let's leave these topics off the table. But are they truly ever off the table? Most people have an innate ability to know things about others, at least if they are paying attention to the signs. On other topics we can simply agree to disagree. And oh what a can of worms these topics can open if we aren't careful. We stand to lose friends, family, business associates, neighbors and others.

I am approaching this from personal perspective. I recently, over the past year or so, have inched my way out of the broom closet to family members. I have worn my pentacle openly and proudly and... of course my family is an authority on such things as Satanism? I use that term loosely and with out any offense to Satanists. I am talking about the blatent ignorance of people who THINK they know what you're all about and who you are and who your diety is? Have you ever come across this? I am sure you have. I have 2 brothers who have known for about 2 years now that I am witch and presumably in their infinate knowledge they know what it means to be a witch? NOT! To them, I am a bride of Satan and therefore a poisoner and evil. It has come to crunch time now as on the weekend, my pentacle, my symbol of my faith, was ripped away from me and flung onto a roof. I was told they didn't believe in that shit! I felt so rejected as though they had each taken a hold of me and twisted me into the shape of a pentagram and flung me up on that roof. And for what I ask? Because they think they know more about such things than I do? Never having taken time to educate themselves about this "wicked" path that I, their only sister, has chosen to follow. If one of my siblings had become involved with something that I suspected was evil or not good for them, I would be all over that band wagon looking to show proof of why they are going down the wrong road. I am not worth it in their eyes. I was told, "Go away Jemma, you're not welcome here!". That from the only blood relatives I have left.

I am not a perfect person, but I have never hurt them like they have hurt me. This kind of ignorance floors me. They don't know me and now never will. Shame on them! They have attempted to take a personal faith from me that no one has the right to take from another. I was an empty shell before I found paganism and I was beginning to claw my way back to something that gave me back my power as a woman, and they stomped on it, preferring that I remain weak and subserviant to the Christian god/ the male god. I will not allow them to take this from me, even if It means they exit my life entirely. I am a reader of the tarot and my card today 6 of wands which promises me victory and success. They will recognize me for who I am!!! SO MOTE IT BE!

Blessed Be,

Brief History of the Tarot

Although there has been some speculation over the first origins of the Tarot. It’s been mostly believed to have originated as far back as the 1500’s. In fact it’s likely that it was around before that and is thought to have come from Italy. First used for playing an Italian card game by the name of Tarocca. The Tarot has evolved since then to become a tool for divination. The Tarot is a deck of cards rich with symbolism and imagery that can bring divine guidance and messages from deep within our subconscious to the conscious level. It’s comprised of 78 cards in total and is divided up between 22 major arcane and 56 minor arcane. The major arcane are known as the trump cards and are the richest in imagery and symbolism. The major arcane will come up to reflect deep inner or spiritual matters while the minor arcane are more concerned with the everyday things in life such as job and material matters. The minor arcane is made up of 4 suits. Swords, which represent the element of Air and thus speaks to the thought processes at work in a situation. Pentacles are the Earth suit representing the material aspects involved. Cups represent Water and therefore will talk about the emotional level. And Wands are the Fire aspect and generally speak about the creative process and inspiration. What can be seen in the symbolism of these cards is from the intuitive standpoint of the person reading the cards. There are many meanings to each and every card both upright and reversed, however the best rule of thumb is to trust ones own intuition. There are many Tarot decks available on the market today however it’s the Rider Waite deck that most of these have been fashioned from. It was developed by A.E Waite in the late eighteen hundreds and has maintained it’s popularity still today. As time has evolved more and more people are opening up to the idea of the Tarot, Psychics etc. Although there are some people who still view the cards as evil this is simply not true and the Tarot can and should be used from a positive perspective. If used negatively or to promote fear then that negativity will come back on those who conspire to miss use it. There is nothing to fear from the Tarot, it can help us understand past, our guide, and ourselves our present and future paths. A good Tarot reader seeks to help shed light for the sitter who comes to them for a reading. Many people have been helped by the Tarot and there are many good ethical readers around today. If you find yourself in need of answers and guidance about a matter in your life, don’t be afraid to seek the help of the Tarot.
