The Chariot

Good morning.. Today we are moving on to The Chariot.

The Chariot card is linked to our will and self control. It's about winning out through mind over matter. By controlling our emotional nature and using self control and discipline we can overcome problems in our lives. This card is telling us to have dominion over our mental attitudes such as anger, depression, fear as well as any self defeating habits such as drinking alcohol, taking drugs and over eating. Intuitively speaking I see this card sometimes as being pulled in two different directions. Sometimes I see it as travel and have even seen it come up to talk about the sitters vehicle. Those are just intuitive observations however.

Reversed- we have a loss of control. Our mind and emotions have fallen out of balance and we are losing sight of our goals and falling off track.
We are allowing ourselves to fall back into negative thinking patterns and destructive habits.
This can represent someone who's poor mental and emotional programming growing up may be leading to a life of self destructive habits and behaviors. It suggests a need for self discipline and that a serious look at our lives may be in order. Are we allowing our negative thinking and bad lifestyle railroad us off in the bushes? Taking us away from our original goals. In reverse simply The Chariot is about DEFEAT.

Next card up...The Lovers

A choice or decision seems to be offered up in The Lovers card, so it's important for us to know who we really are and what is truly needed for personal fulfillment.
This is the picture of an honest open, balanced marriage or relationship. The two figures bare all to each other, they have no secrets. The angel above them seems to bless this union or perhaps may have even orchestrated it. Sometimes this card speaks of temptation also and will enter in when we are at a crossroads with a moral decision or dilemma. There could be a new relationship developing or there could be major change within an existing one, i.e taking it to the next level. It could be it's time to move in together or perhaps we are just at the stage where feelings are deepening and thus a sexual relationship is about to develop?.
In a health reading, it's a positive force for healing.

In Reverse- we have indecision and imbalance which could lead us to make incorrect decisions. Have we allowed ourselves to fall into temptation? The selection seems all wrong for us and we find ourselve out of touch with aspects of self.
Something may be interfering with our plans or decision making process?

The Heirophant/Tarot Review

Our card today is The Heirophant.

The Heirophant is about guidance and taking the traditional and conservative approach to life or a matter at hand. It's about conforming to the traditional way of doing things with regard to problems or issues. Conforming to groups and society in general. I.E. church groups.
The Heirophant is also about being guided either by our own inner voice or that of an another whom has the experience we need to help us make well informed decisions, this could be a counsellour, teacher or spiritual mentor.
The Hierophant suggests that we heed and follow the advice of those qualified to guide us and or our own inner guidance.
This card can come up to represent someone from a tradional background or upbringing, or could point to employment with well established organizations, institutions and/or companies with strict policies and procedures.

In Reverse- we have a different and unusual way of doing things, or an unusual set of circumstances.
This could represent common law ties or unusual circumstances surrounding relationships.
In The Heirphant reversed we refuse to conform the traditional norm. Perhaps we are rebelling against religious dogma.
Perhaps we are ignoring our inner guidance and/ or disregarding the advice of council and marching to the beat of our own drum.

The Emporer

Hello...Today's card is The Emporer.

The Emporer represents someone in authority, such as a boss, father figure etc.
This is a person who has the ability to direct, control and make decisions.
Sometimes this can come up to indicate a time in our lives where we have reached rulership and authority over others or simply it can mean an individual who is emotionally mature, responsible and in control. So a disciplined individual.
The Emporer is the example of someone who shows leadership qualities and is a successful manager.
The Emporer knows how to get things done, he is organized and see's his goal through to the end, so this can show up to mean that what we have been striving toward or planning either has manifested or will manifest..
A positve card for the outward result of a seekers goal or plans.
I sometimes see this card come up to represent someone in law enforcement or the military.

In Reverse...we see that goals and plans do not come to pass.
This is a person who lacks the ability to take charge or to plan. It can also indicate a man who has issues with authority. Sometimes it's a man unable to cope with family responsibilities. Escapist tendancies such as alcohol and other dependancies are some possibilities also with this card.
A venture or project will not flourish as had hoped likley due to disorganization and lack of planning.

The Empress Card

Hey Peeps... back on track with The Empress Card.

The Empress is a card of Growth, and is primarily concerned with the giving and receiving of love shall we say.
When The Empress comes up there will be growth and development concerning the matter at hand. This is a time for emotional and financial prosperity.
When talking about marriage we see a thriving relationship, and deep love.
This has been called the mother card because The Empress is associated with childbirth and a focus on motherhood. She represents a woman who's marriage and family life are of primary concern to her.
I see this card as a card of stablility and abundance and fertility.
Sometimes this can represent a woman with creative and artistic talents also which can be key to her happiness as well.
Often comes up to signify a time when a woman may be wanting children, be trying to get pregnant or already is.

Reversed- We see no growth, blocked feelings and stagnation.
We are struggling to bring about what it is we wish to achieve, sometimes this is in the area of trying to concieve a child perhaps?
Feelings of rejection could lead to infidelity or divorce.
We are unable to give or receive love due to blocked emotions such as anger, guilt ad frustration.
As a person card this can also be a woman who is depressed and or psychologically ill.

Intuitive Tarot Review/The Magician

OOps... seems I forgot the Magician.

The Magician card is primarily about personal power. It represents mental focus toward a creative idea or goal. The Magician reminds us that we should be confident and have faith in our abilitys and talents in order to manifest what we want in our lives.
We have the talents and skills as represented by the tools on his altar but now we must use thought to focus our minds like an arrow toward a target. In his right hand he holds a wand pointing upward toward the heavens and his left hand pointing down to the earth. This is representative of what we think we are. What we hold in our minds (heaven) we bring into manifestation here on earth. We are the soul creators of what manifests outwardly in our day to day lives. So by using the power of focussed thought will help us to tap into the creative consciousness of the Universe.. I am that which "I think I am"! The red cloak represents his desire for ambitious achivement in life.
Reversed- we see unrealised plans or goals due to lack of follow through and an inability to remain on course. We are not tappin into the flow of universal energy that would help us achieve our goals.

Intuitive Tarot Review/The High Priestess

Today's card is the High Priestess.

The High Priestess is a card of mystery. It suggests hidden factors and things concieled from view. When we see this card it can mean that we may not know all there is to know about a situation or circumstance in spite of being assured to the contrary.
Something yet to come to light may affect the outcome of the matter in question.
This can also represent the seeker and their deep desire or need to know more information about the future or about a matter. This can also represent an inner knowing and a person who has psychic dreams or intuitive urgings. The High Priestess, tells us to listen quietly to inner guidance and pay attention to our dreams and intuition.
As a final outcome card it can indicate a secret that will be forthcoming and may bring about fortuitous change.
As a person the high priestess could represent a woman who is very intuitive and has her own deep seated belief system. Her expectations of herself and others are high..

Intuitive Tarot Review/The Fool

The fool represents new beginnings and opportunity. The seeker may be presented with a chance of a lifetime opportunity which could bring about a considerable change in lifestyle. This card tells us to expect the unexpected and to examine what it is we truly want in life and be guided by our hearts desires. We are at a place in our life where we can create what we want. It's a time for a new start and a chance to wipe the slate clean and start again. Here we are about to take a journey into the unknown. The fool is carefree taking life as it comes, however life is urging us forward. A major decision could be at hand so be sure to choose wisely.
In reverse.... we are in danger of making poor choices and wrong decisions. Perhaps we are allowing ourselves to be influenced by the opinions of others. Or perhaps it's simply our own fears and anxieties getting in the way of us moving forward and stopping us from recognizing opportunities to better ourselves and our situation. The fool can lack awareness of what's right in front of him and thus misses the chance to make things better and become more.
Overall a positive card for new beginnings of all kinds.

Why Cant' People See the Real Me!

It's truly interesting how people's perspectives on things can shut down a frienship or family relationship. How the need to be right far outweighs the benefits of having harmony between two people or within a family unit. When it comes to deeper issues that involve religion, political beliefs, and even sexual orientation, these are some touchy touchy subjects. In fact I think it's been said that these topics are taboo and should never be discussed in areas where we have differing views and/or agendas. We would not want to sever what's good between us so let's leave these topics off the table. But are they truly ever off the table? Most people have an innate ability to know things about others, at least if they are paying attention to the signs. On other topics we can simply agree to disagree. And oh what a can of worms these topics can open if we aren't careful. We stand to lose friends, family, business associates, neighbors and others.

I am approaching this from personal perspective. I recently, over the past year or so, have inched my way out of the broom closet to family members. I have worn my pentacle openly and proudly and... of course my family is an authority on such things as Satanism? I use that term loosely and with out any offense to Satanists. I am talking about the blatent ignorance of people who THINK they know what you're all about and who you are and who your diety is? Have you ever come across this? I am sure you have. I have 2 brothers who have known for about 2 years now that I am witch and presumably in their infinate knowledge they know what it means to be a witch? NOT! To them, I am a bride of Satan and therefore a poisoner and evil. It has come to crunch time now as on the weekend, my pentacle, my symbol of my faith, was ripped away from me and flung onto a roof. I was told they didn't believe in that shit! I felt so rejected as though they had each taken a hold of me and twisted me into the shape of a pentagram and flung me up on that roof. And for what I ask? Because they think they know more about such things than I do? Never having taken time to educate themselves about this "wicked" path that I, their only sister, has chosen to follow. If one of my siblings had become involved with something that I suspected was evil or not good for them, I would be all over that band wagon looking to show proof of why they are going down the wrong road. I am not worth it in their eyes. I was told, "Go away Jemma, you're not welcome here!". That from the only blood relatives I have left.

I am not a perfect person, but I have never hurt them like they have hurt me. This kind of ignorance floors me. They don't know me and now never will. Shame on them! They have attempted to take a personal faith from me that no one has the right to take from another. I was an empty shell before I found paganism and I was beginning to claw my way back to something that gave me back my power as a woman, and they stomped on it, preferring that I remain weak and subserviant to the Christian god/ the male god. I will not allow them to take this from me, even if It means they exit my life entirely. I am a reader of the tarot and my card today 6 of wands which promises me victory and success. They will recognize me for who I am!!! SO MOTE IT BE!

Blessed Be,

Septemberwitch
